A perfect finish to the 2026 Škoda Swiss Bike Cup for the BIXS Race Team: Just one week after his podium finish in Huttwil, Luca Schätti won the season finale in Gränichen with a commanding performance. Marcel Guerrini rounded out the BIXS one-two finish by taking second place. With this victory, Luca also secured his first overall title in the Škoda Swiss Bike Cup—just two points ahead of his teammate Marcel.

A comfortable one-two finish

On the technically demanding course in Gränichen, Luca Schätti made it clear right from the start that victory that day would go only through him. Already on the first lap, he pulled away from all his competitors and then confidently controlled the race from the front. With laser focus and a consistently high pace, Luca steadily extended his lead and won with a 34-second advantage over his teammate Marcel, who rounded out another strong performance by the BIXS Race Team.

BIXS Double Victory in the Overall Standings as Well

With his victory, Luca overtook the previous overall leader, Fabio Püntener—who did not compete in Aargau—and secured his first overall victory in the Škoda Swiss Bike Cup. Marcel finished the series in second place overall, just two points behind his teammate. The one-two finish in Gränichen shows what’s possible when performance, confidence, and consistency come together at the decisive moment.

Following the successful conclusion of the national racing series, the focus now shifts to the final two World Cups of the season in the U.S. On Friday, the 19th, and Saturday, the 20th of September, races will take place in Soldier Hollow, Utah, before the World Cup finals follow in Lake Placid from October 2 through 4.
