As part of the BIXS test events, we attach great importance to the protection of your personal data. If you would like to test a BIXS bicycle and thereby make use of a voluntary, free service provided by us, the processing of personal data becomes necessary. This privacy policy informs you how, for what purpose and to what extent your data is processed during and after the event.
Please note that this privacy policy only covers the data processing carried out by intercycle ag as the owner of the BIXS brand in connection with the current bicycle test; individual matters may additionally be governed, in whole or in part, by specific privacy policies or general terms and conditions. 2. Categories of data collected
In the course of your participation in the activities held during the event, the following personal data is collected:
Form of address, first and last name
Contact details (email address, telephone number, postal address)
Information relating to participation in test rides
Activity-specific information such as date of birth, signed declarations of consent and liability waivers
3. Purposes and legal bases of data processing
The data is processed for the following purposes:
Registration for the activities held during the test event
Evaluation of leads in order to improve future events
Follow-up communication by BIXS and intercycle ag (e.g. queries, marketing offers, newsletter)
Insofar as you have given us your consent to process your personal data for specific purposes, we process your personal data within the scope of and on the basis of that consent, provided we have no other legal basis and such a basis is required.
4. Newsletter
Unless you object and to the extent permitted by law, we may also send you newsletters if you have registered for a BIXS bicycle test and tested a bicycle. You may unsubscribe from the newsletter and withdraw the consent you have given at any time. To do so, click the unsubscribe link at the end of any of our newsletters or send your withdrawal to info@intercycle.com.
5. Place of processing
We generally process personal data in Switzerland, in an EU/EEA country, or in another country with an adequate level of data protection.
6. Disclosure of data to third parties
In the course of our business activities and for the purposes stated above, we also disclose personal data to third parties where this is permitted and appropriate, either because they process it on our behalf (commissioned data processing) or because they wish to use it for their own purposes (data disclosure). This concerns in particular:
external dealers, event organisers and partner companies
as well as service providers (including processors), IT service operators (e.g. web hosting providers, email delivery service providers, online tools) and suppliers.
These third parties are obliged to use your data only within the scope of the purposes stated above and to process it in compliance with data protection law.

Your data is stored for as long as this is necessary for the purposes of processing or as long as statutory retention obligations exist.

You have the right to information, rectification and erasure of your data; to restriction of processing; to data portability; to object to processing; and to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out up to that point.
