Minimalist does not mean uncomfortable. The District 1 GOR combines a pared-back setup with a mid-step frame. At 12.1 kg, it is particularly light. The Gates Carbon Drive with Shimano Alfine hub gears and eleven speeds stays clean and requires little maintenance, and it can also be shifted while stationary, which is regularly useful in city traffic. The Premium Alloy frame remains uncluttered, while the Schwalbe G-One tyres in 700x40C roll quietly. A bike for short journeys, spontaneous detours and anyone travelling light.
