Double victory for BIXS Enduro Race Team at the opening of the Swiss Enduro Series in Flims Laax

The Mountain Bike World Championships in Val di Sole got off to a truly successful start for Luca Schätti and the Swiss national team. In the mixed relay, Switzerland secured the silver medal, winning a medal right off the bat.

Sechs Fahrerinnen und Fahrer des Schweizer Nationalteams zeigen ihre WM-Medaillen auf dem Podest in Val di Sole

Silver thanks to a solid team effort.

Along with Jolanda Neff, Luca Schätti represented Switzerland in the elite division. The team was rounded out by U23 athletes Anina Hutter and Nicolas Halter, as well as juniors Anja Grossmann and Men Gygax. With a strong team effort, the Swiss squad took home the silver medal, finishing second only to host nation Italy. The bronze went to the United States.

For Luca, the medal marks a successful start to the World Championships and confirms his strong form. As part of the Swiss team, he made an important contribution to Switzerland’s first World Championship podium finish in Val di Sole, ensuring an emotional start to the title races.
