Automatic shifting sounds like convenience, but above all, it’s about focus. The Core-E12 is the only model in the Core-E family equipped with Shimano CUES Di2 Auto Shift and Free Shift: The electronics select the gear themselves, matching your cadence and speed, and shift even when you’re not pedaling. Whether commuting to work or riding off-road, this means you can focus on the trail instead of the drivetrain. The Shimano EP801 motor and 600-watt-hour battery cover long distances, while the Rock Shox 35 Silver TK fork with 120 mm of travel absorbs bumps on forest trails. It’s an e-hardtail that handles gear changes on its own.
