For those who want to save their energy, there is the convenient option to take the post bus from Davos to the Tschuggen stop. This saves some altitude meters and allows you to start enjoying the trail earlier. Those who prefer to climb entirely under their own power follow the hiking trail towards Flüelapass, which is scenically beautiful and close to nature.

We opted for the shortened version with the post bus and started at the Gasthaus Tschuggen, a popular meeting point for mountain bikers and hikers. From there, the route initially follows the Flüelapass road towards Pischa. The first kilometers are still quite rideable, but the incline quickly increases, and the trail becomes more challenging. From this point, it's often necessary to push.

The path winds ever steeper up the slope, accompanied by spectacular panoramas of the Flüela Valley below and the surrounding mountain peaks. The fresh alpine air and the nature experience make the ascent enjoyable, even if it is sometimes strenuous. The views are breathtaking and provide new motivation time and again.

Shortly before reaching the Pischa cable car station, you arrive on a broader path that marks the last section of the ascent. Here, you often meet hikers and other mountain bikers, as Pischa is a popular excursion destination. In summer, the mountain restaurant at the station is unfortunately closed, so it's advisable to bring enough provisions.

From the Pischa cable car station, the exciting trail over the Pischa ridge begins, which excites with its mix of rocky sections and flowing passages. Although some spots require technical skills, the route is generally quite rideable and offers plenty of fun for bikers with some experience. The trail continues towards Hüreli, where you turn right towards Ober Tälli. This section is one of my personal favorites because it offers a great mix of flowing curves, small jumps, and technical challenges, making the descent varied and entertaining.

At the small, idyllically situated lakes, you can take a break and enjoy the view from Davos across to Klosters. These spots are perfect for photos and to feel the tranquility of the mountains.

Shortly before reaching Davos, the trail curves and opens up a spectacular view over the Davos lake – an absolute highlight of the tour. The trail section behind it offers some technical spots that ensure exciting moments before it relaxes and playfully leads through small alpine meadows.

On the Drussetscha, if you're lucky, you might pass a flock of sheep that have taken over the trail. This little nature experience makes you smile and is a friendly sign of how closely humans and nature coexist here.

The last part of the tour runs along the Drussetscha brook, where you shouldn't miss the turnoff at the bridge. The trail continues almost to the lake before a short section on a gravel road uphill follows. This effort is rewarded with the rooty, loamy Stilli Trail, which is considered the perfect ending to the descent.

In conclusion, it's worth stopping at the cozy Chalet Velo in Davos, where you can relax with coffee and cake. For those who still have an appetite for something hearty after the ride, beer and fries are also highly recommended there – the perfect end to an eventful day on the bike.
